Private Health Insurance

At BodyFree Weight Loss Clinic, we offer all inclusive Weight Loss Surgery pricing in order to provide you with the best possible care for a fixed fee. This way, you get the care you need without the worry of any unknown fees.

For patients who hold Private Health Insurance that covers them for Bariatric Surgery (Gastric Sleeve or Gastric Bypass), and who have not had a previous Bariatric procedure, BodyFree can provide all of your pre and post-operative care, surgery, and ongoing follow-up for a fixed pricing starting at $3,750. (Please note: you may also be required to pay your Private Health Fund an excess that is not included in this amount.)

Our all inclusive program covers the following services:

• Bariatric Surgical Consultations
• Bariatric Physician Consultations
• Bariatric Surgery (Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass)
• Surgical Assistant
• Anaesthetist
• Hospital stay (2-3 nights)
• Five Dietitian Consultations
• Ongoing surgical follow ups at our clinic (for 24 months post surgery)

Please note, if you require Revision Bariatric Surgery after a previous operation, then this cost is $5,990-$6,990, and will still include all of the above services. The cost is higher for this all-inclusive program due to the complex and specialised nature of the procedure, potential additional pre-operative investigations and increased post-operative care.

No Private Health Insurance (Medicare only)

Bariatric Surgery is possible, even without Private Health Insurance.  We offer fixed Weight Loss Surgery pricing starting at $13,490 for our basic program with limited post operative follow up, or we offer an all-inclusive program (with the same inclusions that we provide for our insured patients) for $14,990. The all inclusive program inclusions are:

• Bariatric Surgery
• Surgical Assistant
• Anaesthetist
• Hospital stay (2 nights)
• Five Dietitian Consultations
• Ongoing surgical follow ups at our clinic (for 24 months post surgery)

Superannuation

We know that covering the cost of weight loss surgery can be a challenge.  Some patients may be able to use their Superannuation to cover part or all of the costs if they have the funds available.

This requires patients to apply via the ATO and MyGov websites requesting an early release of funds. Patients will need supporting letters, reports and documentation that our practice can supply to help with that process. You will also need supporting documentation from your GP.
